Abstract

A numerical application of the approach recently proposed by G. Salut to the identification of a linear time invariant multivariable system is presented. The application example consists of a two areas interconnected power system; the tool is linear quadratic filtering theory of the Kalman-Bucy type. Though the preliminary results are encouraging, further work is needed to make the algorithm operational in a real time fashion as well as to compare its performance in relation with other identification schemes.
