Research line: Impact

Description of impact

The overall aim of this research line is the study of neural correlates of typical and atypical cognition, with emphasis on the developmental aspects. In this line, we are interested in the relationship between neuropsychological characteristics of child development, such as executive functions, and development of social cognition (theory of mind). Another object of our attention is psychophysiological and neurocognitive developmental characteristics of young children, particularly in relation to groups of offenders. We are also interested in studying the factors involved in certain neuropsychological disorders such as aphasia, and its different expressions in relation to personal and social traits. The methodologies used are mainly neuropsychological, personality and psychophysiologichal tests (evoked potentials).
