The newspapers, witnesses of the modern civilization, were born in the 20th century closely related with big cities and the historical events. Coinciding with the first World War, new voices and also new jobs appeared in whole Europe: the figure of the war correspondent, for instance. Some legendary figures of the Spanish journalism, as Gaziel or Eugeni Xammar, acquired and developed their skills in the newspaper’s offices and in the war front trenches. Thus, the literary journalism has been a real school of style and ideology and reality observation for many other authors, especially, for this real generation of journalist writers which marked the interworld period, as the Catalans Pla, Sagarra, Crexells or Brunet.
