Description of impact

European citizenship is a central concept for understanding European integration and the rights and duties it entails for the citizens of the European Union. This research line addresses aspects such as the legal nature of EU citizenship, its evolution, political participation, the protection of fundamental rights, and the mobility of European citizens within the internal market, freedom, security and justice area and Schengen area.
