Research line: Impact

Description of impact

In this line of research the development of the different components of language is studied, mainly during the first developmental stages. The interest is focused in both typical and atypical language development. On the other hand, we also study second language acquisition. We focus in language transfer and in the cognitive factors involved in the teaching-learning of languages. The methodology used in this line of research is experimental (training studies) and observational (collection and analysis of speech sample through CHILDES system). We also do analysis of data obtained by means of Mac-Arthur CDI questionnaires adapted to Catalan.
